On Friday November 25th Rugby legends Sam Warburton & Ryan Jones talk to a sold out crowd at the Lyric Theatre in Carmarthen.
The event which was hosted by TMH promotions created by Tim & Leanne Hopkins featured Ryan Jones who has of course been involved in three Grand Slam wins, in 2005, as captain in 2008, and 2012 and is also one of a small group of Welsh players to have won three Grand Slams & Sam Warburton who is former Wales & Lions Captain & holds the record for the second most caps by any Welsh Captain.
Sam & Ryan clearly shared a friendship which produced an electric atmosphere from the stage, the talk contained a great deal of technical Rugby knowledge, a lot of humour, some poignant, even sad moments as well as some very inspirational wisdom, especially from Sam. It has to be mentioned that Ryan was especially brave to host an evening, which not only involved interviewing Sam but also conducting an auction, with his recent diagnosis of dementia at the age of only 41.
The crowd was enthralled as these two giants reminisced about so many aspects of their careers, the highs, lows, some stories which may have never been heard before & more.
It was another great success by TMH Promotions who have so far hosted events featuring a who’s who list of Rugby & boxing greats & have carved a niche for themselves as one of wales premier events companies.
